Installation

Up and runningin 4 simple steps

No special tools required. AA Browser installs directly as an APK — no ADB, no rooting, no complex setup.

Enable Developer Mode

Open Android Auto on your phone, go to Settings, scroll to the bottom and tap "Version" 10 times. This unlocks Developer Settings.

Look for the Build version at the bottom of the AA settings screen

Allow Unknown Sources

In Android Auto Developer Settings, enable "Unknown sources" to allow installation of apps not from the Play Store.

This setting is specifically for Android Auto, not your general Android settings

Download AA Browser

Download the latest APK directly from GitHub Releases. For automatic updates, install via Obtainium — a free, open-source app manager.

Install & Launch

Install the APK on your Android phone, connect to your car's Android Auto, and launch AA Browser from the car display.

Some devices may require opening Waze first before AA Browser appears
